This year’s Design Week festival, officially opens with a gathering at the iconic Montauk Sofa showroom for an evening dedicated to connection, craft and the creative heart of the design community.
This year’s theme, In Tune, invites participants to look closer at the harmony, and the occasional beautiful dissonance, within our urban landscape. It’s about more than just aesthetics; it’s about noticing the subtle rhythms that make Calgary thrive. There is no better place to explore this than within a space defined by craftsmanship and curated comfort.

It’s an opportunity to catch up with colleagues, meet new collaborators, and immerse yourself in the creative energy that defines our local scene. Accessibility Note
The Montauk showroom is street-level accessible, but internal spaces include stairs and no elevator. One semi-accessible washroom is available. The space is designed with minimal sensory triggers, medium contrast tones, and open layouts to support those with visual or cognitive sensitivities. This event will feature a DJ and loud music. Staff will be on hand to assist guests requiring additional mobility support.
